Helpful Information

Our staff tries to assist you as much as they can during your visit or stay. However we might not always be able to give the support you need. In these cases the following organizations might be of help.

AMDA International Medical Information Center

If you are looking for medical services that are not offered at our hospital, are closer to your location, or during more convenient hours, you can contact AMDA. It is a non-profit organization which helps foreigners to navigate through the Japanese medical world. They also offer a free medical interpretation service by phone.

Everyday Life in Japan

The Council of Local Authorities for International Relations (CLAIR), offers useful information on everyday life in Japan. Information is provided on matters such as the Japanese healthcare and insurance system, legal matters, and what to do in case of a disaster. Their Living Guide offers this and lots of other useful information in multiple languages.
For information on assistance for foreigners in Kyoto, please see the site of the Kyoto Prefectural International Center.
