Digestive Surgery

The Division of Digestive Surgery provides comprehensive care for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and the abdominal solid organs. This includes cancers and benign conditions of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, rectum, liver, bile ducts, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen. Our division is a high volume center for digestive surgery with excellent operative outcomes. By working closely with the gastroenterology, hepatology, pancreatology, oncology and radiology services, we are able to provide a complete multidisciplinary range of therapeutic options for our patients. 

Content of treatment

The Division of Digestive Surgery includes a special focus in minimally invasive surgery of the gastrointestinal tract and the abdominal solid organs. Most surgeries are performed by using minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, mediastinoscopic and robotic surgery.
 
Our surgical team provides minimally invasive and conventional surgical therapy in the fields of:
  • Upper gastrointestinal surgery
  • Lower gastrointestinal surgery
  • Hepatobillary and pancreatic surgery
